The hotel was a super base for enjoying a nice enough area, short walk to the center of Ruhengeri and the busstation and a lot of restaurants, shops and ATM's. The breakfast was delicious and marvellous, had plenty of food. Had tidy and fairly quiet room with shared bathroom for a perfectly pleasant stay. The staff was professional and especially helpful and around most of the time. The location of the property was convenient - a 10-15 minute walk from an Anglican church.

The private room at Amahoro Guest House was like a cozy little haven, with a comfortable bed that made me feel right at home. It was the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring.
Some might find the campsite a bit too basic for their liking, but hey, it's all part of the adventure, right?

I had always wanted to visit the Karisoke Research Center in Ruhengeri, and I chose to stay at Amahoro Guest House for its convenient location. However, what pleasantly surprised me was the knowledgeable guides who helped me make the most of my tour and facilitated communication with the primates. This initiative created an invaluable opportunity to provide food literacy to both tourists and locals alike, which I truly appreciated.
Preparation for breakfast seemed a little haphazard, and there was only one socket in the room for three people. , there was no spare toilet roll in the bathroom, which could be inconvenient.

Norbert provided excellent information and booked fun and educational activities for us. the breakfasts were outstanding, with a variety of fresh fruit and delicious pancakes. the location was great, within walking distance of restaurants and the bus station. the highlight of our trip was the tour to the twin lakes, which Norbert organized for us. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great tips and suggestions for activities and places to eat. The location was excellent, being close to the bus park and convenient for exploring the area.- The beds were comfortable, and the warm covers provided were perfect for the cold, rainy season.
The hot water system seemed to take a while to heat up, which was a bit inconvenient. The free wifi was a little unreliable at times, although it generally worked well.
